Being a producer is tougher than being an actor.

After acting in over 40 films, both Hindi and Punjabi, Jimmy Sheirgill donned the producer's hat with Dharti, a huge commercial success in 2011. However, the actor feels being a producer is tougher than being an actor.

"Being a producer of any film is the most difficult thing. As an actor you go on the sets, shoot and come back. But as a producer there is a lot of pressure because you have to keep a tab on everything," Jimmy, who is gearing up for the release of his next production venture in Punjabi Taur Mittran Di, told.

"You keep calling people to take the progress report. It gets strenuous as a producer, but if you have a good team, it indeed makes the pressure lighter," he added.

"Taur Mittran Di " is a youthful entertainer that features VJ-turned-actor Rannvijay Sangha, Surveen Chawla, Amita Pathak and veteran Punjabi actor Amrinder Gill.

The actor made his debut in Punjabi cinema in 2005 with Yaaran Naal Baharan and has given hits like Tera Mera Ki Rishta and Munde UK De.

Jimmy agrees that Punjabi cinema has evolved over the years and added: "It is good to see that people have started to notice the industry. Moreover, the Punjabi filmmakers are keeping an eye over the commercial and business aspects. But I feel it is the tip of the iceberg, the industry has a huge potential.

The 41-year-old has been juggling between Hindi and Punjabi movies. He made his Bollywood debut withMaachis, but rose to limelight after playing romantic role in Mohabbatein.

Since then he has done a variety of roles in films like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho MunnabhaiDelhi Heights and A Wednesday.

Asked him if he plans to produce a Hindi film, Jimmy said: "Lets see we are working on some scripts."

He will soon be seen in Vikram Bhatt's 3D film Dangerous Ishhq, which marks the comeback of Karisma Kapoor. The actor will also feature in films like Special Chabbis, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2 and Tanu Weds Manu 2.
